A 16-year-old man was shot and killed while trying to steal a car at an apartment complex in San Antonio, Texas, around 2:20 a.m. Monday.
KSAT report The incident occurred at the Reserve San Antonio apartment complex in the 13900 block of Babcock Road.
Police said the owner of the car heard the sound of breaking glass outside an apartment building and went to investigate. When he got outside, he found a 16-year-old boy sitting in his car and trying to steal his car.
The car owner believed the 16-year-old boy was armed, so he fired at the suspect, striking him once and killing him.
KTSA identified 16 year old who plays Adam Tino Arroyo.
Police have not yet said whether Arroyo had a gun in his possession at the time of the attempted car theft.
