19-year-old woman shot in Queens after arguing with gunman on bus

A gunman shot a 19-year-old woman in the hip after an argument on a Queens bus Thursday night, police said.

According to authorities, the victim was riding the Q110 bus in Hollis when an argument broke out with another passenger around 6:20 p.m.

Police said the two got off at the stop at Francis Lewis Boulevard and Jamaica Avenue.

Shortly afterward, the man they were arguing with fired at her, hitting her in the lower back, authorities said.

She was taken by EMS to Jamaica Hospital where her condition was reported to be stable.

The gunman was fleeing southbound on Jamaica Avenue Thursday night, riding the wind.

The shooting occurred about two hours after a straphanger wrested a gun from an “aggressive” agitator and shot him in the head on a crowded Brooklyn train.
