California elected official allegedly caught urinating on LGBT club door

A Southern California elected official got into a scuffle with an LGBT club manager after he urinated on the nightspot’s door.

Chris Kilpatrick was identified as one of two men who carried out this dastardly crime in surveillance footage shared by the Precinct, a popular bar in downtown Los Angeles, and Crescenta Valley City Council resigned from his position.

At around 2am on Sunday, the pair were seen unbuttoning their black shirts, sauntering up to the brightly lit employee entrance of the club and pulling down their pants.

They stood close together, streaming towards the same corner of the door.

After a long bathroom break, the pair tried to go out into the street again, where they were stopped by the manager, but not for urinating on the door.

The men were carrying cocktail glasses taken from the police station.

When the manager tried to take away his drink, “the greater man reacted and physically assaulted him, throwing him to the ground,” the bar wrote. Instagram post.

“Last Saturday night, these two party boys decided to teach everyone what not to do in the school district,” the club announced. “The school district is a safe place for everyone. Have fun. Don’t mess around. Oh, and there are some restrooms, too.”

Although Kilpatrick was not named in the post, several commenters were quick to point out that he was the perpetrator.

Kilpatrick’s lawyer argued that the former town councilor feared for her and her boyfriend’s safety after she was grabbed “aggressively” by two unknown men. .

“My client instinctively pushed back in self-defense. He probably had every right to believe that he was about to be gay-bashed by these two,” attorney John Duran said in an email. he told the Post.

“Battery is a misdemeanor that involves unlawful contact exhibited by the individual who first grabbed my client. Pushing back to protect yourself or others is an affirmative defense.”

Regarding public urination on private property, Mr. Duran maintained that Mr. Kilpatrick committed no crime.

He said this would be considered a violation under Los Angeles city ordinances and could result in fines.

Kilpatrick resigned from his position on the Crescenta Valley City Council on Thursday. This comes just one day after the commission announced it would remove Kilpatrick from office if the allegations against him prove true.

Kilpatrick has served on the town council since 2020 and owns a home construction business, according to a since-deleted page on the Crescenta Valley Town Council website.
