Twin who survived Park Slope stabbing desperately tried to protect sister after drunken man followed, attacked them

The twin sister of a 19-year-old girl who was stabbed to death outside a Brooklyn deli after refusing a man’s advances has told how she tried to protect her sibling when the drunk man became enraged by his disobedience. He’s back on Instagram.

“I grabbed her phone and was like, ‘Come with me, come with me,'” Saniya said. She said, “She doesn’t want to talk to him.” ”

According to Saniya, Samia appeared to be trying to shake off the stranger and decided to give him her Instagram handle.

“She said she wasn’t going after him,” she said. she said no. At that point, the man became furious.

He started an argument with the two teenagers and ran out of the warehouse, but returned just a few minutes later, Sanya said.

“He pushed little Samia, and I pushed him,” she said. “And everyone else started pushing him out the door.”

Sanya said store employees then got involved and forced the drunk man and his friends out of the store and locked the door behind them.

The twins then ate their midnight snack and left the store, only to find the attacker armed with a knife and the warehouse door locked behind them.

“He had a knife in his hand and said, ‘I’m going to stab you in the face,'” Sanya said.

“I’m telling everyone to cheer. And he pushed little Samia to the ground.”

As the assailant began running towards Samia with a knife in his hand, the girls’ brother intervened and punched him, knocking the man to the ground.

That’s when the situation escalated into an all-out brawl, Sanya said.

“I tried to grab it, so [Samyia’s phone]he stabbed me in the arm,” she said.

“Samia then asked the man to give her phone back and he stabbed her in the neck.”

“She said, ‘I’m about to pass out,'” Sanya recalled. “As soon as she said she was ‘almost passing out,’ she called 911.”

Police found Samia with stab wounds to her chest and neck and rushed the twins to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
