‘The Valley’ Star Jax Taylor Hopes To Develop A “Vandercrawl” With SUR, TomTom, Schwartz & Sandy’s & Jax’s: “It Feels Like A Good Idea”

Jax Taylor is all grown up, can you believe it? surely, vanderpump rules The alum spent nearly a decade on screen terrorizing his peers and rampaging through the streets of West Hollywood, but amidst the turmoil, audiences watched him grow as well. We saw him marry Brittany Cartwright (the two recently announced their separation) and move into a spacious house in the Valley. Due to the pandemic and a cast shake-up, fans won’t get to see the couple expand their family. Luckily for us, Taylor was looking for a way to get him, Cartwright, Kristen Doute, and some of their friends back on TV.

He first pitched the idea for the show. The Valley to his old man vanderpump rules “It was a cold, rainy night,” producer Alex Baskin said in a hotel lobby. After the two talked about the idea for three hours, Taylor was convinced he had what it took to be a hit. “This is my baby,” Taylor said. “It’s the first time I’ve done something like this.” It’s surprising that a reality TV veteran like Taylor never thought about the process on the production side, but it seems he’s found his calling. is. “It’s so much more fun to be on the other side of things than in front of the camera,” Taylor said. “I can clearly imagine that we might do more of this in the future.”

As for his wishes, The Valley, Taylor explained that he just wanted “the viewers to see the good and the bad” that the group of friends goes through, so they can “empathize with what we’re going through.” “If we can help someone by opening up about our problems, that’s great for me,” Taylor said. Regarding her recent separation from Cartwright, Taylor admitted that the couple is “just dealing with it day-to-day.” However, their main concern remains their beautiful son Cruise. “As long as he has two loving parents, that’s all that matters,” Taylor said.

Taylor spoke to DECIDER over Zoom about the new series. His new restaurant “Jax’s” His concerns about Doute’s journey as a mother and what fans can expect from this season.

Decider: First of all, I want to say that I am so sorry to hear that you and Brittany have separated. How difficult will it be to publicly navigate this difficult time?

Jax Taylor: Well, breaking up is never easy. The situation becomes even more difficult when the separation is exposed and judged for the whole world to see. We’re working on it and just dealing with it day by day.

I think you can see how many people are supporting these two.

Yes, I appreciate that. thank you. No problem. Our main concern is our son, he is everything. As long as he has two loving parents, we’ll be fine.

Let’s move on to the issue at hand! The Valley is truly your baby and has been in development for several years. Can you talk about the process of bringing this show to TV screens?

Lo and behold, that was almost two and a half or three years ago. It was a rainy and cold night. I called Alex Baskin, who was at Evolution at the time. I met him at the hotel at 9pm. I walked into the lobby and said, “Listen, I have an idea for a show.” We sat in the lobby for 3 hours considering it. he loved it.We welcomed our manager Ryan. [Revel] Involved. He was also the show’s executive producer and helped market the show. And the rest is history.

I’m very lucky and very blessed. He is forever grateful to NBC and Bravo and the entire team for giving him another chance on this project. It’s my baby. It’s my first time doing something like this. It was really fun to make. In fact, I have a lot more fun being on the other side of things than being in front of the camera. I’m sure we may do more of this in the future. I never knew creating projects like this could be so much fun.

Biography of you and Brittany for The Valley He says the two of you serve as the group’s “voices of reason.”

in most cases [laughs]. Yeah.

Are you looking forward to your fans seeing you grow over time? vanderpump rules And what about after becoming a father?

I don’t really care what anyone thinks, but I work hard on myself. I know there are things going on in my life that are obviously public right now, but I continue to work hard for myself. I always consider myself a work in progress. It’s just me. I’m so excited for people to see me married, a father, living in the Valley, and a homeowner. I look forward to meeting friends at different stages of life and bringing it all together. I hope the audience sees the good and the bad and empathizes with what we’re going through. If we can help someone by opening up our problems, that’s great for me.

I’m glad to know where you, Kirsten, and Brittany are at in your lives.Since I quit, I’ve been doing my best to live my life. vanderpump rules.

That was the whole reason I really stuck with this project. Brittany and I have had such fans for many years. When we suddenly disappeared, people said: what happened? “So when I proposed this idea, I said: vanderpump rules All over the place. ”

We are all connected in some way. There are no random people. We’ve all been friends for a very long time, and that’s kind of why vanderpump rules It works very well. I wanted to keep that same organic formula. Everyone plays a role in our friendship. So now I’m really looking forward to everyone seeing it.

you said everyone is on board The Valley At least it appeared vanderpump rulesbut was it fun to shoot with friends who probably haven’t been in the spotlight before?

yes. It was really, really exhilarating. I believe that everything happens for a reason. There is a glimmer of hope here. I think it made sense for me to do this show.I feel like I’ve grown from there. vanderpump rules A little bit of the world. This show felt like my calling. I felt very comfortable during the shoot.

Toward the end, I can say that vanderpump rules, I’m really tired. I felt like I was beating a dead horse there. This show has given me a new lease on life. I was motivated every day, as opposed to thinking, “Oh, what should I shoot today?” What more crap is coming my way today? ‘Right now, I’m positive and excited for everyone to watch the show and see the next chapter of our lives.

Speaking of new chapters, I can’t help but see you wearing Jax’s hat. Could you tell us more about how you started your business?

Well, it came to me through a friend. My business partner was looking to open another bar and I was just in the right place at the right time.Things started going smoothly from then on. villain’s house. villain’s house It was like my comeback. As soon as I did that, everyone started calling again. This was just a phone call. When we had a meeting, they said, “Hi Jax, we love you. We love that you’re family-oriented. We like your relaxed atmosphere as opposed to the Hollywood type. Sports Bar in the Valley.” We want to open a lounge with you guys.” They were like, “Sign up.”

My business partners who are at the same stage of life as me can’t believe how well things are going. The bar is doing better than expected. My dream is to one day open a franchise. My partner also wants to continue the business and do more. It’s easy on the wallet, I always tell people. A lot of great things are happening at Jax’s. There’s trivia, karaoke, cornhole, and a watch party every Tuesday. vanderpump rules and valley. We have something to satisfy everyone.

Just add Jax to your Bravo Restaurant Tour.

It’s funny that you said that. Tom and I want to develop something like “Vanderkroll.” It starts at SUR, ends up at TomTom, Schwartz & Sandy’s, and ends up at my house. This feels like a good idea and will allow everyone to taste a little bit of every bar.

Honestly, it’s a great idea.

I think people like that. We’re just trying to figure out the history and legality of it.

Now, let’s get back to the topic. The Valleyyou and Kristen’s boyfriend Luke Broderick don’t seem to get along very well in the first episode.

I hate it because I love that person now. you know what? It’s not that we weren’t good friends. It was just one of his, he came here and started dating Kristen right away. I know that sounds a little harsh, but I basically wanted to warn him to think things through. I’m friends with all of Kristen Doute’s ex-boyfriends. Carter, Tom, James, Alex, who’s missing? There are others out there too.

I just wanted him to do his homework before uprooting his entire life and moving from Colorado. He has a quiet, wonderful life living on the river and fishing, but to uproot that, he moves to already insane Los Angeles and starts living with Kristen Doute. That’s doubly crazy. Moreover, they were about to bring a child into the world. It’s a big and expensive deal here, so you have to keep things in order. I want you to have children when you are ready. That wasn’t the case back then. We want to give our children every opportunity possible. You don’t want to be behind the 8-ball from the beginning.

You’ve been very open about how skeptical you are of Kristen and Luke’s baby plans. Have you ever felt like it’s better sprinkled with sugar? Or maybe that’s not a good friend?

That’s not a good friend. A good friend tells you things you don’t want to hear. That’s how I grew up. Good friends don’t tell you that everything will be fine when things go wrong. I don’t need friends like that. In fact, I don’t have any friends like that. If so, I would remove them. I love Kristen to death, but she’s all over the place and absent-minded, just like me. We don’t think things through. She doesn’t stop and say, “Maybe we should do this first,” or “Maybe we shouldn’t do this.” She’s just focused on “wanting a baby.” Well, first you need to make sure you have all your ducks in a row. Be careful and plan to do it the right way. That’s all I wanted to say.

What can fans be excited to see in the rest of the season? There was plenty of drama in that super trailer…

We’ve prepared a little bit of everything for you. Everyone goes through different stages of life. That’s why I love this group and why I chose this group. Every viewer will be able to empathize with someone. Whether you’re going through a separation, trying to have a baby, not being able to have a baby, buying a home, selling a home, or whatever you’re going through, we understand. If someone can watch this show and think, “Look, I’m going through the same thing and it’s okay,” that’s all I want to take away from this show.
