A Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport executive is brain-dead and unlikely to survive more than a day after a shootout with federal agents executing a search warrant, his brother has claimed.
Brian Malinowski, 53, executive director of the Little Rock Airport in Arkansas, was shot in the head at about 6 a.m. Tuesday at his West Little Rock home.
The man “suffered a gunshot wound and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being transported to a local hospital,” Arkansas State Police said in a statement Tuesday.
No information has been released about the search warrant or why Mr. Malinowski’s home was raided.
Malinowski’s loved ones feel something doesn’t add up to what led to the shooting.

Family members rushed to Malinowski’s home on Wednesday, where last rites were performed on the injured airport manager. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.
“We don’t know if he’s going to make it in the next 24 hours,” Matthew told NBC at his brother’s bedside. “He was shot in the head.”
Doctors put the injured Brian Malinowski on life support, but did not perform surgery “because it seemed unlikely he would survive,” his brother told the outlet.
The airport executive was reportedly an avid collector of guns, weapons, and coins, lived in an upper-middle-class neighborhood, and earned an annual salary of $253,000 as a civil-military joint airport executive.
“When someone is making that much money, there is no incentive to do anything wrong,” the brothers added. “He has a lot to lose.”

Malinowski’s neighbors saw guns and ammunition removed from the Durance Court home before being loaded onto a trailer as firefighters brought in crowbars and circular saws to cut metal inside the home. reported. According to KARK.
The town, located on a quiet cul-de-sac, was shocked to hear gunshots before seeing emergency vehicles swarm the neighborhood.
“I heard about five or six loud bangs,” Shea de Bruyn told the media.
“My heart was pounding and my dog was barking,” added a shocked neighbor. “I’m really curious about what’s going on just a few doors down.”
“The investigative case file will be submitted to prosecutors to determine whether the use of deadly force is consistent with Arkansas law,” the ASP added in a statement.
Mr. Malinowski joined Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in 2008 as director of real estate, planning and development and was promoted to deputy director in 2009, according to his bio on the airport’s website.
Clinton’s ties to Arkansas stem from Bill Clinton’s tenure as governor from 1979 to 1981 and again from 1983 to 1992.
