‘Heartbroken’ dad of Laken Riley demands Georgia gov declare migrant crisis an ‘invasion’

The father of Laken Riley, a nursing student who died while jogging last month, has called on Georgia’s governor to declare an “invasion to capture and deport illegal criminals” to protect Americans.

In a speech in the Georgia State Senate on Wednesday, Gov. Jason Riley told Gov. Brian Kemp that he was desperate after Venezuelan immigrant Jose Antonio was charged with killing his 22-year-old daughter near the University of Georgia in Athens. I filed a complaint.

“I’m standing before you, a heartbroken man,” Jason Riley said. “Part of my purpose has been taken away from me. God gave me a beautiful daughter to protect, feed, and raise her as a father. A man with an evil heart took her away. He took a life. He was in this country, this state illegally.”

After being presented with a resolution honoring Riley, his father called on state senators to “do more to protect us.”

“My vision for every senator in this chamber is to protect our people from this unlawful invasion,” he said.
“Please recognize that Athens-Clarke is a sanctuary city and this policy and lack of action led to the murder of our daughter.”

Ybarra, 26, who entered the United States illegally two years ago, is charged with felony murder, murder, aggravated assault and battery, kidnapping and false imprisonment in the death of Laken Riley.
