Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was a complete disaster.
Thirteen American soldiers were killed in the suicide bombing.
It turns out that the United States has no idea how many Americans are stranded in Afghanistan.
Gen. Mark Milley, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, testified: We don’t know the exact number of Americans left behind because the initial numbers were never clear. ”

The Washington Examiner reported:
Top officials, suddenly ordered to evacuate Afghanistan by President Joe Biden, have no idea how many Americans will still be hiding in or near Kabul when the Taliban regain control; I know what was left behind.
In high-profile testimony on Tuesday, the former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff told Rep. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) that the administration knew how many Afghan personnel had been abandoned, but that “It’s clear that many people were killed in a very brutal way.” ”
…
Milley said that while the U.S. military should know, “it’s always difficult for us at the Department of Defense to understand those numbers, and I think that’s true at the tactical and operational level as well.” And, frankly, we don’t know the exact number of Americans left behind because the initial numbers were never clear. The same applies to Afghan SIVs at risk, special forces and other Afghans who worked with us. As far as I knew at the time, these numbers were highly variable and highly inaccurate. So let’s just say that even today I’m not convinced of the accuracy of all these numbers. ”
Smith asked what happened to those who were waived under Biden’s order.
“The Afghans, I think some were killed. I don’t know about the Americans. I don’t think the Americans were, but I think some of the Afghans who cooperated with us were tracked down. And I think some of them were killed, and I’m sure some of them were killed in pretty brutal ways. Some managed to escape using various means. Others They just lay there with their heads down,” Milley added.
