Free Speech and Surveillance in Britain: A Warning Sign
As Britain tightens its grip on free speech and increases surveillance, it raises alarms for other Western nations. Tommy Robinson, a prominent figure, has faced these repercussions firsthand.
“They aimed to isolate us, impose total control, and they succeeded. I became invisible,” Robinson shared with Blaze Media co-founder Glenn Beck. He mentioned that the British media portrays him as a “far-right, racist, and extremist instigator of violence.”
“I wasn’t even able to use my own name… Society removed me for merely voicing concerns about mass immigration,” he explained, questioning, “Why hide the truth? Because it’s literally beneath their feet.”
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s recent advertisement seems to validate Robinson’s claims.
“This is a nation where the majority shares certain values, which must always define us—even if they don’t vocalize them. Our government won’t obstruct peaceful protests,” Starmer stated, emphasizing, “However, we will respond firmly to hate.”
“When that hate turns violent, we will employ the full extent of the law and prevent those who incite hatred from entering the UK. This country belongs to everyone, and I won’t accept anyone hindering that,” he concluded.
Robinson argues that Starmer has clearly demonstrated these points in his video. “After the 2024 riots… he politicized the judiciary, weaponized the media, and even imprisoned mothers for tweets. He sent innocent people to jail, trying to instill fear in the public,” Robinson asserted.
Yet, he believes that Starmer’s actions haven’t instilled fear; instead, they’ve ignited passion among the public. “This is a battle for the essence of our nation, and it’s one he’s destined to lose. They are waning; we are gaining the trust of the people,” he remarked.
