Nevada collapse versus Dayton leads to March Madness bad beat

The betting public was robbed when the University of Nevada fell to Dayton during Thursday’s Round of 64 March Madness game.

Despite being the 10th seed, the Wolfpack entered this game as the favorites by just 1.5 points at most major sportsbooks over the seventh-seeded Flyers.

With less than 10 minutes left in the game, Nevada led by 17 points and it looked like the game, or even the numbers, would be over.

But things took a turn for the worse in the second half, hurting those who occupied Nevada against the spread and moneyline.

Dayton gave up 24 of its 63 points in the final 7 minutes, 14 seconds and held Nevada to just four points, earning a 63-60 upset victory and advancing to the Round of 32.

At one point, the Wolfpack went scoreless for more than five minutes while the Flyers led 24-4, leading to a heartbreaking first-round exit.

Nevada won the majority of tickets at nearly every major sportsbook.

At Stations Casino, the Wolfpack reportedly won a whopping 70% of stakes against the spread. Ben Fawkes of X.
