Trump’s hands keep getting marked up by frenzied fans

Donald Trump’s hands are rough and sometimes bruised from obsessive fans, and the former president admits he had to overcome his cleanliness, according to a new interview with the Washington Examiner.

Byron York, the news agency’s chief political correspondent, said: interviewed a former president Earlier this month, he briefly accompanied a group of Republicans in Palm Beach, Florida, to speak at Mar-a-Lago for a local Lincoln Day dinner.

Trump greeted and shook hands with lawmakers at his residence, and York reported that at one point the former president showed a reporter his bruised hand after York asked him about his past hygiene habits. .

Trump also reportedly had finger prints from a woman’s nails on his hands.

“In this business, you just have to get through it,” Trump said.

The former president has previously called handshakes “barbaric” and described himself as a “cleanliness freak” in the past.

Over the years and while campaigning, he said he has become accustomed to physical contact with fans.

“I happen to be a clean hands person. When I wash my hands as thoroughly as possible, I feel a lot better,” President Trump told The Hill in January 2016.

Still, he acknowledged his obligation to shake hands with fans, telling The Hill, “Can you imagine if I said I wouldn’t shake anyone’s hands?”
