People always get tattoos of symbolic moments. But Andre Lima’s new tattoo may be a success.
On Saturday night, Lima was fighting Igor Severino at UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas, but Severino, who was making his UFC debut, bit Lima on the arm during the fight and was disqualified.
A Nevada State Athletic Commission doctor was called to examine Mark. After determining that it was indeed a bite mark, referee Chris Tognoni waved his hand and called off the match.
But Rima wanted to remember the fight and bite differently.
On Saturday night, he posted a screenshot of Dana White’s story showing his arm with the bite mark permanently tattooed where Lima was bitten.
Rima decided to get a tattoo without waiting a day. Her tattoo shows her bite mark and reads, “I got a little bonus.”
UFC CEO Dana White originally planned to give Lima a $25,000 bonus, but said he would give Lima $50,000 after seeing the tattoo.
Severino, who suffered his first career loss, was also released by the UFC.
