Kevin Bacon to visit ‘Footloose’ high school after viral campaign

“Footloose” star Kevin Bacon will return to the school where the iconic movie was first filmed 40 years ago on his prom day, Bacon announced on Friday’s Today Show.

“I didn’t even realize, let alone the fact that you’re joining our foundation, SixDegrees.org, and trying to find ways to give back to the community. It’s really inspiring, thank you. Thank you,” he said. “And I’m going to come. I have to come.”

Bacon will not be attending the actual prom event today, but will instead be visiting the school earlier in the day for an event benefiting Bacon’s charity, SixDegrees.org. was later revealed. According to today.
