A pickup truck driver has been charged for his role in a four-vehicle crash in which a tractor-trailer that was left dangling in the Ohio River crashed through a guardrail, according to court records.
The pickup driver was charged with four counts of endangerment and one count of driving with a suspended license, according to court records, news outlets reported Monday.

According to the arrest report, witnesses told police that the driver was speeding and weaving through traffic when he struck a stuck vehicle, pushed it into oncoming traffic, and killed two people. Louisville firefighters were able to recover the driver of a tractor-trailer that was dangling precariously over a river during a March 1 crash on the George Rogers Clark Memorial Bridge, which connects southern Indiana with Louisville, Kentucky. The driver of the pickup truck “operated his vehicle under conditions that demonstrated extreme indifference to the value of human life, putting himself and other vehicles at risk of serious injury or death,” according to the arrest report.
