Elon Musk announced Tuesday that his artificial intelligence company xAI’s chatbot Grok will be available to all premium subscribers of social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Later this week, Grok will be enabled for all Premium subscribers (not just Premium+),” Musk said. I wrote it on Tuesday’s XNo additional details are provided.

Earlier this month, Musk announced that xAI would open source Grok, shortly after he sued ChatGPT developer OpenAI for failing to keep it open source.
Musk, who helped found OpenAI in 2015, filed a lawsuit against CEO Sam Altman and co-founder Greg Brockman for content infringement, accusing them of deviating from OpenAI’s founding agreement to partner with Microsoft. Appealed.
Musk said he, Altman and Brockman agreed at the time of the company’s founding that OpenAI would be a nonprofit organization developing artificial intelligence for the benefit of humanity and would remain open source.
Musk said the company is instead developing AI technology to “maximize Microsoft’s profits” and details the internal design of its latest AI models “to serve Microsoft’s proprietary commercial interests.” He claimed that he had not made it public.
OpenAI fired back earlier this month, claiming that Musk supports turning the company into a for-profit company and that OpenAI is exploring merging with Musk’s car company, Tesla.
