Fugitive Migrant Influencer Flashes Wads Of Cash, Says He Wants To ‘Mark My Territory,’ Not ‘Work Like A Slave’

An illegal immigrant influencer who is considered a fugitive in the United States has flashed a wad of cash in multiple videos on social media while on the run, saying he wants to “mark his own territory” rather than “work like a slave.” reportedly said.

Leonel Moreno made headlines after allegedly instructing illegal immigrants to use the Squatters’ Rights Act to “invade” American homes. Moreno, who illegally crossed the border through El Paso, Texas, in April 2022, appeared to mock working-class Americans in five videos posted to Instagram. according to to the New York Post.

“I didn’t cross the Rio Grande to work like a slave,” Moreno told his followers in the video, waving a wad of $100 bills. “I came to the United States to mark my territory.”

Moreno also hosted a livestream on his TikTok account, demonstrating the same behavior. A Twitter user captured a clip from one of the illegal immigrant’s livestreams, in which he appeared to be stressing about cash in front of the camera while speaking loudly in Spanish.

Moreno claimed he could support himself, his wife and baby for at least 18 months with the money he had and did not need to work, the newspaper said.

“You’re hurt because you’re working like a slave and I’m making more money than you without having to work as much, you know?” Moreno said. “That’s the difference between you and me. I’m always going to make a lot of money without working much, but you’re always going to be exploited, miserable and insignificant.”

An illegal immigrant influencer filmed herself melting down after her TikTok account was deleted. Moreno was shown crying while holding the child in her arms, her nose clearly dripping. Moreno later appeared to dismiss the suspension, saying he could “continue to make money” on other social media platforms, the report said. “Yes, they shut down my TikTok account, but I continue to make money on Facebook and Instagram,” Moreno said, according to the New York Post. “Although I won’t be making the same income, I plan on getting my TikTok account back. I will continue to make money.”

Moreno was classified as a fugitive for allegedly failing to comply with the Alternative to Detention Program, which allows federal authorities to track undocumented immigrants using methods such as ankle monitors, the report said. The influencer was initially released on parole to the United States because the detention center was overcrowded. Later, his mugshot surfaced again.
