Former Senate Judiciary Committee aide Garrett Bentley ripped into President Joe Biden’s leadership and praised President Donald Trump on Fox News Friday.
Mr. Bentley appeared on “The Ingraham Angle” Thursday night after a re-election campaign fundraiser in New York City, where he took to the stage to discuss recent reports describing Mr. Biden as “alpha.” Fox guest host Brian Kilmeade said Biden’s fundraiser was on the same day as the wake for slain NYPD officer Jonathan Diller, which Trump also attended. We asked former aides about their thoughts on Biden’s leadership.
Bentley criticized the president’s actions and President Trump’s contrasting actions, saying Biden is yet to visit East Palestine, Ohio, and Baltimore, Maryland, after both cities faced major tragic incidents. “President Trump is presenting a sharp contrast to the American people here,” Bentley said. “Joe Biden is standing at a lavish $25 million fundraiser with Stephen Colbert, Barack Obama, and Bill Clinton, one of the dumbest people on television. And he… [Trump] Sitting here with the families of the murdered police officers, that’s what America wants from its commander-in-chief. You saw this, Joe Biden hasn’t visited Baltimore yet. As you may recall, President Trump went to East Palestine, Ohio, during the train derailment, but Joe Biden has not yet been there. He has contempt for the American people and American workers. ”
“That’s why President Trump continues to beat President Trump in every poll, including the Fox poll,” he continued. “He is 5 years old [points], seems to be doing very well. He is tearing down all coalitions here. And we’re supposed to believe that Joe Biden is like Tony Stark, or Bruce Wayne is hilarious to me. He can barely walk up the stairs and he can barely string two or three sentences together. And if that’s the clip the White House is pushing, if that’s what ‘Alpha’ looks like, then Joe Biden is in serious trouble. ”
Following the first day of Diller’s wake, Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman said that Trump is a great supporter of Diller’s family after the 34-year-old was shot and killed during a routine traffic stop earlier this week. He said it felt like a “source of comfort.” Blakeman described how President Trump offered “words of condolence” individually to each of his family members, and said the former president received “enthusiastic applause” from the 200 guests as he left. Biden met with Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams before attending a star-studded fundraiser at Radio Music City Hall, along with former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton. He expressed his condolences to Mr. Diller’s family. However, during the night of his event, pro-Palestinian protests caused chaos outside, and one of the protesters even interrupted a panel discussion during a fundraiser.
