“Some people have been touting the Michelle Obama draft as an emergency parachute to Biden for some time,” said James Johnson, a pollster and co-founder of JL Partners.
But it turns out voters were less enthusiastic about voting for Michelle over Trump than Biden, with Trump outperforming Michelle overall and among independents.
“It was never realistic, but this poll confirms the idea that she could be some kind of saving force for the Democratic Party.”
