“Boardwalk Empire” actor Michael Stuhlbarg was spotted leaving his Upper West Side apartment Monday morning. Sunday night was his first public appearance since the incident in which he was allegedly hit with a long rap sheet by a homeless man.
The 55-year-old actor was scheduled to take the stage Monday for the first screening of the upcoming Broadway production of “The Patriots,” wearing all black and carrying several bags.
Just before 8 p.m. Sunday, Stuhlbarg was walking near East 90th and East Drive when 27-year-old Xavier Israel allegedly struck her in the back of the neck with a rock, causing abrasions.
The homeless Israeli has previously been arrested for two counts of assault and robbery, both of which occurred in January 2022, police and sources told The Post.
Stuhlbarg was attacked less than three miles from where Arnold Rothstein, the character from the hit HBO series “Boardwalk Empire,” was shot and killed.
