An attorney for the family of a Missouri teen who was assaulted in a viral video said the boy’s condition has “improved a little.”
“Although Kaylee’s ability to walk has improved slightly, she is still unable to walk without assistance from hospital staff. However, Kaylee still shows signs of significant cognitive impairment while her speech is limited and she is unable to walk without assistance from hospital staff.” “He has a tendency to walk and repeat the same short sentences over and over again,” family attorney Brian Kemmerer said in a statement.
Kemmerer added that Caylee seems to be aware that she is in the hospital, but does not understand why she is there.
The fight between the suspect and Caylee occurred on March 8th after school off campus. The fight left the 16-year-old boy with head trauma.

The 15-year-old suspect accused of attacking Caylee made her first court appearance on Monday.
Kemmerer said some of Caylee’s family attended the defendant’s hearing, but could not share details about what happened during the hearing because of confidentiality in the juvenile court system.
“However, the family is encouraged by the public statements made by those associated with the defendant that the defendant wishes to apologize to Caylee for this matter. These statements confirm that it is appropriate for the defendant to stand trial. “As an adult, it is reassuring that the defendant appears to be remorseful for what happened during these unfortunate events,” Kemmerer said.

Cayley’s family also cited motivating comments about the assault on social media that appear to have been posted by the alleged attacker. One of the posts jokingly said the attack would qualify her to join “MMA or WWE.”
Kemmerer said the post was not made by the alleged attacker.

“The family is grateful that the defendant did not post these completely disturbing messages, but the family firmly believes there is more than enough evidence to try the defendant as an adult.” The facts remain the same,” Kemmerer said. I have written.
Fox 2 later reported that eight other teenagers were referred to St. Louis County Family Court for their alleged involvement in the fight, but video shows more than a dozen people may have witnessed or been involved in the fight. It has been shown that there is.
Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey also expressed concern about the brawl and launched an investigation into how the Hazelwood School District and its DEI program contributed to safety deficiencies after the violent attack.

“This school district has a documented history of prioritizing student safety and promoting extremist and racist programs. The point of school resource officers is to provide security for school facilities. “It’s not just about being there, it’s about being an early warning system. “By being able to intervene and de-escalate conflicts between teens so they don’t reach the level of street brawls that lead to first-degree assault. “We need to do that,” Bailey told FOX News Digital.
The school district denies any wrongdoing and reminded Bailey that the fight did not occur on school property.
