Co-host Al Roker said, “People are saying, Mr. President, I don’t feel like my money is doing that well. With the economy and what’s going on, you know those people. What do you say?” he asked.
“I say our economy is the best in the world. We have to do better. We truly have the best economy in the world. We have more jobs than ever before,” Biden said. We’re in a situation where we have the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years. We know, people are just — but people are — look, what’s happened as a result of the crisis we’ve had on health. I think we’re going to know that this is going to have a lasting impact. We need to get people moving again. We’re ready. This country is ready to come together in this way. I really mean it. I’m really optimistic.”
