Basketball star Caitlin Clark, a straight white woman and Catholic, clearly struck a nerve with the woke public in American sports.
“She was the same threat to the left wing at nationals and now she’s probably more important, and that’s all because of Caitlin Clark. And Caitlin Clark needs to go win at nationals. Yes, but I don’t think Caitlin will break out,” TJ Moe told Jason Whitlock.
Moe believes Clark will just keep his head down and stay focused on what really matters: basketball.
“As far as I know, she hasn’t said a single word that happened. She’s from Central America, and she posted a photo with her boyfriend, which was a bit controversial in the locker room where she’s from. “It’s a decision to make,” he explains. .
“So, actually, I think Caitlin Clark is too big. She’s much bigger than women’s basketball. She doesn’t need to bow to the left,” he added.
Whitlock recognizes Clark’s talent, but disagrees.
“I thought you were too big to have to take a bow,” Whitlock said, noting when Patrick Mahomes did “a lot of left-field stuff.”
“When I saw Patrick Mahomes fold, I thought they would fold anyone,” he added.
The talented quarterback jumped on the Black Lives Matter train in 2020, but hasn’t been very vocal about social justice issues since.
Whitlock believes the woke crowd is “not going to give up” on getting Clark involved.
“Caitlin Clark might start selling more athletic shoes in three years than LeBron James did,” he explains. “Maybe she’s at Adidas or something, but they’re just as woke as any other company.”
Whitlock thinks Clark may have no choice but to fold “if they start dangling that money.”
