Exclusive — By 2-to-1, Americans Believe Movies are Worse Today

The sycophantic entertainment media will blame everything for Hollywood’s continued box office collapse. Liars make all kinds of excuses: Streaming! Unruly crowd! Too much condensation on the windshield! Heck, to this day, some people still blame the coronavirus pandemic.

What no one dares to suggest is… quality.

In any other industry – automobiles, restaurants, pizza, toothpaste, plastic surgeons, landscaping – when fewer and fewer customers come into the store, the first thing that happens is exactly what happens. beginning thingWhat sensible people pay attention to is the quality of the product.

Ah, but not in Hollywood. Having the moral courage to question the quality of a naked emperor’s clothing would invite a terrifying backlash. Studios will no longer advertise on your sycophantic website. The studios will no longer give you access to the stars, free screenings, and all those sweet sweet goodies to you, the snob.

So, no, that didn’t happen. indiana jones 5 Because the tank was the worst. Because having our hero eviscerated and humiliated by a sexless girl boss made people hate him. No, that can’t be true. No, it failed because the franchise was old, tired and worn out. So don’t forget that many older franchises continue to make profits. for example, top gun: maverickIn , the main character didn’t get eviscerated by a sexless girl’s boss.

And even though nearly 66 million Americans voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, red state bigots killed it. lady ghostbustermovie. And 40 years ago, Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby, Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jackson were the biggest stars in the world, and 60 million people were killed by racists in the Red Nation, including Barack Obama. Even though I voted for Obama, you get my point.

Lies, lies, lies.

good…

Now we have the evidence and the data. of science(!) This proves what we already know: that most people are fully aware that movies today are terrible. So, maybe, just maybe, it has something to do with fewer customers.

In a Breitbart News exclusive, the Rasmussen Report surveyed 1,231 American adults on March 21, 24, and 25 asking, “Are movies better today than they were X years ago?” I asked a simple and clear question.

The results are devastating for Hollywood, and media sycophants can no longer invent nonsense excuses for box office failures.

“Are movies better now than they were 10 years ago?”

Only 22 percent said yes and 58 percent said no. This number has reversed by -36 points.

Additionally, among those who think Hollywood should put butts in the seats (ages 18-39), only 33 percent say they’re better off in movies, while a majority of young people (53 percent) say no. answered. This is a -20 point difference on a Hollywood basis.

What I love about the 10-year period is that it removes the faint fog of nostalgia. No one looks back on 2014 as some kind of golden age.

So Rasmussen Asked“Are movies better now than they were 20 years ago?”

Only 27 percent said yes, and the majority, 58 percent, said no. This is -31 points below the surface.

Again, no nostalgia here. No one is nostalgic for the halcyon days of 2004.

So Rasmussen asked, “Are movies better today than they were 50 years ago?”

Only 37 percent said yes and 43 percent said no. This is -6 points underwater.

Now on to my favorite part of the vote…

For the better part of the last decade, Hollywood movies have bent over backwards to cater to women and minorities. All of this woke crap should hit the sweet spot with these particular groups. Here it is How well is that stupid crusade going?

Women seem to prefer the good old days when the Force existed. do not have woman.

This is not difficult. When people believe that the quality of a product is getting worse, they buy less of that product. Over the past 20 years, and especially this last decade, we’ve become increasingly plagued by terrible movies that waste our time and money. Sorry, Hollywood. No matter how much gaslighting the media does, we can never forget the feeling of being insulted and exploited.

Science says you’re the worst.
