Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is leading the fight to stop the federal government from cracking down on food production in ways that make it harder to grow and buy food.
Massey came up with a solution. It’s a simple constitutional amendment that would add “the right to grow food and buy food from any source you want,” he tells Glenn Beck.
“Right now we’re in big business politics where four corporations control all the meat and a few cooperatives control all the milk,” says Massey, adding that Amish farmers are now under discipline. He pointed out that he would be sent to prison for refusing to comply.
One Amish farmer in particular has been harassed over his milk and beef production. Massey believes his amendment will stop that.
“The right of the people to grow their food and to purchase it from sources of their own choice shall not be infringed. Congress has enacted laws to regulate the production and distribution of food products that do not move across state lines. “No,” Massey said. , reading his amendment.
“It’s a very tight and compact fix, but there’s a lot in it,” he says.
“No, no, I don’t agree with you,” Glenn jokes. “Do we just need a contract between human adults and human adults to buy food? That’s ridiculous. We need to start mutilating children without their parents’ consent.”
“Sorry, I forgot,” Massey retorted. “The key to health has always been multiple vaccines and mind-control drugs.”
