Bruce Springsteen signs note for girl to skip school after his concert in San Francisco

A young fan recently had his own “glory days” at the end of a Bruce Springsteen concert.

During a performance at San Francisco’s Chase Center on March 31, an 11-year-old student held up a poster that read, “Will you skip school and sign my note?”

Mr. Springsteen noticed the young fan’s placard and happily wrote in an excused absence from school on the Monday following Easter Sunday.

Springsteen unfolded his notebook and held it up with a grin as fans admired it.

The paper already contained student Genevieve’s excuses to her teacher, and the script was perfectly in line with the frolic of a typical Springsteen concert.

It read, “Dear Mrs. Norman, I’m sorry for missing school yesterday. I went with my parents and sister to a heart-stopping, pants-dropping, jaw-dropping, hard-rocking performance. I went to see a booty-shaking, throbbing, sex-filled movie, with history-making legends Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. From Genevieve. ”

in Video posted on Facebook According to concertgoer Karen Pitcher Scovell, Springsteen knelt down to sign the girl’s school report, blew a kiss, bowed to the crowd, and followed the E Street Band offstage. It shows how it goes.

The post reads, “Bruce knelt in front of me and signed a school excuse for the little girl behind me…”

“The whole crowd, along with the E Street Band, clapped and gave him a long applause,” Scovell told Fox News Digital about the “Dancing in the Dark” singer.

The exchange took place after the E Street Band’s encore, which included a fan request for “Twist and Shout” and “See You in Your Dreams.”

“I saw the girl at the end of the show and she was crying,” Scovell said. “They looked sad. [tears] It might have something to do with listening to “I’ll See You In My Dreams.” ”

This emotional song was written by Springsteen in honor of his late friend Michael Gudinski.

In early September, Springsteen announced that he would postpone his remaining concerts this month due to symptoms of peptic ulcer disease.

“Here at E Street, we are heartbroken that these performances must be postponed,” Springsteen’s Instagram post on social media said at the time.

In late September, the “Born to Run” cast announced that they would be canceling their tour for the rest of the year “on medical advice.”

Ticket holders for “The Boss” were outraged in October when new prices for the postponed dates were announced, with the lowest price exceeding $300 including fees. The E Street leader, who often sings about America’s blue-collar workers, was selling floor seats at Chase Center for more than $10,000 each.

One Cleveland ticket holder who was scheduled to travel to Pittsburgh for the Sept. 14 show was disappointed by the postponement.

“My family and I grew up listening to blues music,” Samantha Vance told FOX News Digital. “His music is our family’s heart. We were all planning to go together and when we heard the news, we felt sorry for the singer, but we hope to see another year in the future.” I was disappointed in the wait.”

The family booked a non-refundable Airbnb for the weekend, but has accepted the financial loss and is looking forward to the rescheduled show in August.

“Now that the dates have changed, we are counting down the days to see him,” she said. “We will never stop dancing.”
