Biden Balloons ‘Temporary’ Amnesty to Include 1.2M Foreign Nationals

President Joe Biden helped increase to nearly 1.2 million the number of foreign nationals living in the United States eligible for or receiving Temporary Protected Status (TPS), which does not make them subject to deportation.

According to a Pew Research Center analysis, as of late last month, nearly all 1.2 million Foreign nationals are eligible for or receive TPS to help them stay in the United States, secure work permits, and avoid deportation.

Since taking office, President Biden’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has added Afghanistan, Burma, Cameroon, Ethiopia, and Ukraine to the list of countries where U.S. residents but ineligible nationals can qualify for TPS. , added Venezuela.

Last September, Biden expanded TPS to about 500,000 Venezuelans living in the United States. This was after approximately 250,000 Venezuelans were provided with TPS in 2021.

Under Biden’s watch, the country’s foreign-born population has exploded.

Latest Estimate According to research by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), more than 51 million foreign-born residents currently live in the United States, the largest number in U.S. history.

“The proportion of the U.S. population that is foreign-born has more than tripled since 1970, nearly doubled since 1990, and increased by 40 percent since 2000 alone,” the CIS researchers wrote. “Since President Biden took office in January 2021, the foreign-born population has increased by 6.4 million people, which is more than the individual populations of 33 states.”
