An Arizona woman pleaded guilty Monday to trying to poison her husband by putting bleach in his coffee, Law & Crime reported.

Melody Felicano Johnson, 40, pleaded guilty to trying to poison her estranged U.S. Air Force husband by adding bleach to his coffee. Her attempt was recorded on her hidden camera. The incident began when the husband noticed something unusual about the taste of his coffee. Suspicious, he used pool chemical test strips on the coffee and the results showed high levels of chlorine. He then set up a hidden camera and filmed Johnson pouring bleach into the coffee maker, the outlet said. The discovery comes amid ongoing divorce proceedings and dates back to March 2023, when the airman was stationed in Germany.

Although the dates and settings vary, the footage conclusively shows Ms. Johnson engaging in the act of poisoning, with one video dated July 16, 2023, in which she advances to the coffee maker.
