The House returns from recess today. The last time the members met was in the House of Representatives. marjorie taylor green (R-Ga.) filed a motion to remove the chair. mike johnson (R-La). Now, everyone is watching to see if Green intends to follow through on his threat.

Let me be clear: If she forces a vote — and she absolutely can — it could send the House back into fall-like chaos.

And this morning *awkward laughter*: Mr. Greene wrote a five-page letter of criticism to Mr. Johnson. Summary: She argued that Johnson did not adequately represent House Republicans. From the continuation of the letter — It’s quite juicy.

Johnson’s big battle: He is under pressure (including from Senate Republicans) to pass the Ukraine funding bill. But if she brings a foreign aid bill to the floor, it could be the trigger that forces a vote for Greene to leave office.

former president trump Monday rejected calls for a nationwide abortion ban. This made anti-abortion activists and some conservatives uncomfortable, but Niall Stanage on The Hill Reports say this was a strategic move for President Trump.

Why? :Trump is playing a long game. He is open to short-term criticism from evangelicals, which could help moderates in the election. President Trump is betting that conservatives will have no choice but to support him in November.

Since leaving the administration, President Trump’s son-in-law has Jared Kushner has established an investment company that invests more than $1.2 billion, much of it in foreign companies.
