Sage Steele, a former ESPN journalist and now independent podcaster, revealed that her 2021 interview with Joe Biden was “very well scripted.”
“It was so structured that I was told, ‘You’re going to say every word that we’re going to write out.’ We’re not going to deviate from this script,” she said in an interview on Fox News, adding, “Every question was scripted and asked dozens of times by many executives.”
“I knew this was much bigger than just the amazing editors I worked with. boss, top executive, [and] They are the decision makers,” she continued.
“I think it’s clear to anyone paying attention why ESPN executives had to stick to the script when interviewing their chief, who has dementia. , all they decided to do was carry water for the Democratic Party, no matter the cost,” says Sara Gonzalez. .
But BlazeTV contributor Matthew Marsden believes ESPN executives who were puppeteering Sage’s interview with the president aren’t where the chain of command ends.
“Who owns ESPN?” he asks.
For those who don’t know, the answer is Disney.
“It’s interesting,” Marsden says. “It’s as if there’s a conglomerate with vested interests in the Democratic Party.”
“I’m going to go further along those same lines,” Jason Butrill said, “and I’m going to work hard on propaganda.”
“If you’re writing a script, you’re not allowing journalists to continue to be journalists and extract information. You’re just spouting propaganda,” he continued.
So what makes most of these journalists so aggressively push back on leftist discourse? Is it because they truly believe in leftist ideology?
Marsden said that while some people may support wokeism, many others are simply “scared of losing their job.”
As an actor, “I know all about it,” he says. “If you deviate from the story, you get cancelled. And if you get cancelled, you don’t get any more work, so you end up working at Trader Joe’s.”
