EXCLUSIVE: WaPo harasses veteran’s wife after he refused to engage on alleged hit piece against GOP candidate

Voicemail recordings obtained by the Daily Caller show that Washington Post reporter Beth Reinhardt, the wife of a military veteran who worked for Republican Montana Senate candidate Tim Sheehy, appeared on what was described as a hit program about Sheehy. It turned out that he had been making harassing phone calls to his wife after she refused to appear on the show.

Sheehy is running for the Montana Senate seat currently held by Democratic Sen. Jon Tester.Early Wednesday morning, Sheehy tweeted The Washington Post released a screenshot requesting proof of his Purple Heart medal and details about the hole in his heart he sustained during his military service.

The Daily Caller is withholding the names of the veterans to avoid the Washington Post seeking retaliation.

Voicemail transcripts that callers get daily:

“Hi, I’m Beth Reinhardt. I’m a reporter for the Washington Post. I apologize for the inconvenience. I’m probably trying to contact your spouse. [redacted] I wasn’t sure if I had the right phone number and I don’t think I do, but I would appreciate it if you could pass this message along to him,” the voicemail recording obtained by the Daily Caller reads. It’s dark. “We’re working on a profile and story about Tim Sheehy, who knew your husband at the Naval Academy. We just wanted to know and talk about his experiences.”

“Memories of time spent with him are very helpful in supplementing what we know about his background. This is my phone in the office [redacted] Again, my name is Beth Reinhardt, and I cover Tim Sheehy for the Washington Post. ”

In a text exchange, the veteran’s wife sends him a recording, to which the veteran responds, “That’s awesome. Yes, don’t answer. had.”

A Washington Post reporter coldly called his wife after the veteran ignored two attempts to contact him, the caller said.

“The Washington Post is no longer a news organization, it’s become a propaganda arm for the Democratic Party. These ‘journalists’ are slandering Tim Sheehy because of his Montana values ​​and… Because they know they’re going to fight against Biden’s policies,” veteran Arkansas Republican Sen. Tom Cotton told the Caller.
