Teaser Scene From ‘Civil War’ Will Make Your Blood Run Cold

A teaser scene for the upcoming movie Civil War was released on YouTube on Wednesday, and it’s sure to make your blood run cold. This can definitely happen in real life.

The scene begins in “Civil War,” with characters played by Kirsten Dunst and Wagner Moura pulling into a relatively abandoned gas station, guarded by an unidentified man in uniform. It begins. They just want to refuel, but that’s not so easy when the country is in the middle of a domestic war.

They look calm, cool, and collected, just like any other family on a road trip trying to refuel. The armed man asks them if they have a local fuel permit, which of course they don’t. Dunst’s character offers him $300 for half a tank of gas and two cans. (Related: United States vs. Florida Confederacy vs. Western Forces: New American ‘Civil War’ Movie Now Available)

The armed man laughs. “You can buy a sandwich for $300,” he explains. “I’ll have ham or cheese.”

This is when Dunst revealed. She’s talking about $300 in Canadian currency. At this, the armed man quickly changes his mind.

Not just clips released as part of the ongoing fight to get people back into theaters and watching movies. Like most people, I’ll probably wait to see “Civil War” in theaters until it’s released on streaming services. Going to the theater obviously has financial costs. But in your right mind, to sit in a room full of strangers, breathe recycled air, and pause the movie to take a piss while a teenage bastard plays with his cell phone next to you. Who would choose to sit in a place where they can’t even do it? If you are a professional theater person, please tell us why in the comments.

That aside, enjoy this another scary clip that looks like a pretty epic movie.

Nothing in the scenes or trailers released so far strays from the realm of reality in America’s future. If we don’t start solving the myriad social crises we’re currently experiencing, we could find ourselves in a pretty scary future…a future where Canadians are somehow more important than we are. yeah. Horror!

“Civil War” will be released on April 12th.
