The music service Spotify contains “a network that traffics in sexually explicit images, sadistic content, and child sexual abuse material,” the report said. “We were genuinely shocked by how prevalent hardcore pornography and sexual exploitation is on popular streaming apps.”

It’s an established place,” Nealon said. “But rather than adequately address these abuses, Meta went ahead and instituted end-to-end encryption, effectively turning a blind eye to the most egregious harms on its platform. , and less famously, Microsoft’s GitHub is the source of much of the rapidly proliferating deepfake porn.”
Other companies on the list include: cash app, cloudflare, discord, linkedin, redditMicrosoft’s GitHub and TeRegram.

“Until CDA 230 is amended, companies will not be held liable,” the report states.
