Anti-Israel demonstrators blocked roads for motorists trying to get to O’Hare International Airport in Chicago and crossing the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco.

Videos on social media showed protesters sitting in the middle of Interstate 190 with their arms crossed, using long tubes to block cars from entering the Chicago airport. .
The demonstrators held placards reading “Liberate Palestine” and “Stop the genocide.”
As seen in the video, travelers flying out of the airport grabbed their luggage and ran to the airport as activists blocked access.
But protest organizers say the purpose of the protest was to send a message to Boeing because the company sells weapons to Israel.
“Protesters are planning to take dramatic action this Tax Day, when millions pay taxes that help fund the ongoing bombing of Gaza by the United States and Israel,” the group said. Chicago Decenters wrote in an Instagram post. “O’Hare International Airport is one of the nation’s largest airports, and it will not be business as usual while Palestinians suffer from U.S.-funded Israeli bombing.”
By 9:30 a.m., Chicago officials said the freeway had reopened and traffic resumed, albeit with “significant” delays.
Travelers departing from O’Hare Airport were warned to “allow plenty of time if heading to the airport.”
O’Hare International Airport is considered one of the busiest airports in the world, serving nearly 83 million passengers annually.
In San Francisco, anti-Israel demonstrators blocked all northbound and southbound lanes of the Golden Gate Bridge, calling on the United States to stop supporting Israel in its war against Hamas.
A video showed demonstrators holding giant banners that read “Stop the world for Gaza.”
“Please expect delays and use alternate routes,” the San Francisco Emergency Management Agency posted on X.
Additionally, protesters shut down Interstate 880 in Oakland, California, just before 7 a.m. PST.
Local authorities arrived at the scene in riot gear and removed the demonstrators.
