Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed he was asked by former President Donald Trump’s “messenger” to serve as his running mate.
“President Trump has called me a far-left radical. Because I’m so liberal, President Trump’s emissaries asked me to serve as his vice president. I respectfully declined the offer. President Kennedy tweeted.

President Trump described Kennedy as “the most radical left-wing candidate in the race,” but also said he liked Kennedy and said there were “good things about him.” He said he thought Kennedy would “do very well” and “steal a lot of votes away from crooked Joe Biden.” President Trump called Kennedy a “radical left-wing Democrat,” but also said Kennedy was “a better person than Joe Biden.”
Trump, who is considered to be the 2024 Republican presidential candidate, has not yet announced his choice of running mate.
President Kennedy announced Nicole Shanahan as his running mate last month.
