Sheriff Bobby F. Kimbrough Jr. said, “Due to the juvenile involvement, we have not and will not discuss the details of this case, but we will continue to work with those involved to determine the best course of action.” I intend to do so.” “At this time, we are praying for the recovery of the teacher involved and the recovery of the students who witnessed this horrific act.”
WXII-TV reported Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools has launched an investigation into the video.
“This kind of behavior is unacceptable,” Superintendent Tricia McManus said, according to WXII. “It is unacceptable for students to interfere with teachers in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools.” My focus now is to ensure that the teacher receives treatment and the support she needs to overcome the lasting effects of this incident. ”
The department added that the principal of Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, where the incident allegedly occurred, sent the following message to the family:
“Hello, Parkland families. This is Noel Keener, principal of Parkland High School. Earlier today, a disturbing video of an inappropriate and disturbing interaction between a student and a teacher was circulated online. We are calling to let you know that our administration has become aware of this incident.” Our administration is working with our law enforcement partners at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office to immediately begin an investigation. Students involved in the video may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with district policies and procedures.
“Please be aware that this video does not reflect our expectations for the students of Parkland High School. We will work with district officials to immediately address this matter and ensure that this type of behavior is not tolerated by us.” We strive to ensure that this is not tolerated in our schools and districts.”

WXII added that student information and discipline information is protected by the federal government and the district cannot share any further information at this time.
