Viral video: HS student slaps teacher in face twice; teacher stays seated during attack and just takes it

A viral cellphone video shows a North Carolina high school student slapping his teacher in the face at least twice, with the teacher in the video remaining seated during the physical attack. He was just accepting it in front of the shocked students.

Sheriff Bobby F. WXII-TV reported Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools has launched an investigation into the video.

“Hello, Parkland families. This is Noel Keener, principal of Parkland High School. Earlier today, a disturbing video of an inappropriate and disturbing interaction between a student and a teacher was circulated online. We are calling to let you know that our administration has become aware of this incident.” Our administration is working with our law enforcement partners at the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office to immediately begin an investigation. Students involved in the video may be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with district policies and procedures.

“Please be aware that this video does not reflect our expectations for the students of Parkland High School. We will work with district officials to immediately address this matter and ensure that this type of behavior is not tolerated by us.” We strive to ensure that this is not tolerated in our schools and districts.”

WXII added that student information and discipline information is protected by the federal government and the district cannot share any further information at this time.
