“Discussions continue. My agents are doing their best. They are doing a good job and I have confidence in them,” Goff said. “I can’t control it.

“It was great, dude,” he added. “I love it here and I want to stay here forever.
“Like I said, it was really special to be able to play in front of our fans and provide that winning culture over the last year and a half or so. To see them experience that and be a part of it. It was really special to be able to do that.” It’s fun, but we’re never satisfied or happy to be here, it’s what’s to come. ”

Goff was traded to the Lions after the 2020 season. Los Angeles Rams in exchange for Matthew Stafford and several draft picks. Stafford won a Super Bowl with the Rams, but Goff ultimately found success with the Lions.
Last season, the Lions defeated the Rams in the wild-card round, winning the franchise’s first playoff game in 32 years. This ended a nine-game losing streak, the longest in the postseason. NFL history.

“It means a lot to this city,” Goff said after the win. “When this season started going into the playoffs and we knew what it meant to get this win. And, you know, this is just the beginning for us. We still have a few points to win.”
Goff is in the final year of a four-year contract he signed in 2019 and is expected to make $22.3 million.
