Anti-Israel Protesters at Yale Tear Down American Flag

Anti-Israel demonstrators at Yale University took over the campus Friday night and tore down the American flag in what they said was a threat to Jewish students and the university.

The video went viral on social media on Saturday and Sunday. KaffiyyahAs the American flag was taken down, clothed activists cheered and cheered.

Many anti-Israel demonstrators also have anti-American beliefs and have targeted Christian symbols.

More than 500 protesters gathered at Beinecke Square on Saturday night, and at 12:18 a.m. the protesters announced that there would be no arrests that night.

There were also pro-Israel counter-protesters present from approximately 11:32 p.m. to approximately 12:50 a.m., most of whom remained in Beinecke Square in front of Woodbridge Hall. At its peak, there were about 25 counter-demonstrators.

A camp organizer, who requested anonymity due to safety concerns, told the News that the group would stay overnight at Beinecke Plaza and reiterated that they would continue camping in the plaza until Yale complied with disclosure and divestment requests. . [from Israel].

A march in Ottawa, Canada, featured demonstrators praising the October 7 terrorist attack that killed 1,200 innocent Israelis.
