Police arrest person of interest in violent Florida carjacking that left one woman burned alive

As authorities continue to search for clues as to what happened to Catherine Altagracia Guerrero de Aguas-Vivas, who was carjacked and burned alive in her car last week, those involved have finally been arrested. Another person was reported to be wanted by authorities. fox news digital.

Torres Garcia, 28, a Jordanian, was taken into custody by the U.S. Marshals Service in connection with an unrelated incident. However, Torres Garcia was involved in the green Acura involved in the carjacking.

The man’s Facebook profile revealed he was wearing the same clothing as the suspect spotted in the carjacking video.

Aguas Vivas, 31, from Homestead, Florida, was carjacked at a busy intersection on April 11th.

In the video footage of the incident, a man wearing a black hoodie and mask appears to approach the driver’s door of the white 2017 Dodge Durango that Aguasvivas was driving. Her car was followed closely by a green Acura, which turned out to be the suspect’s car.

After the suspect approached Aguas Vivas’ car, the two made a U-turn before the video ended, according to the report.

Aguas Vivas’ body was reportedly found hours later inside the burnt out car.

The newspaper said it was still unclear why Torres Garcia, who is wanted in Puerto Rico on firearms charges, followed Aguas Vivas. new york post.

Police said they were still searching for two other people who may have been involved in the incident. It is still unclear who was driving the green Acura when Aguas-Vivas was attacked at the intersection.
