A man who may have overdosed was pushed to the ground in a rolling office chair at a Staten Island pizza restaurant, where he was found dead Sunday morning, law enforcement officials said. A person was caught on camera.
The pair then quickly returned, only to retrieve the chair as the 32-year-old man was lying face down on the ground, officials said.
Surveillance camera footage showed the decomposing body being dumped around 2 a.m. Sunday. Officials said the suspects were seen rolling the man from a nearby apartment on Van Riper Street to a pizza shop around the corner on Port Richmond Avenue and placing him on the ground. It is said that there is.
Police said an employee of the pizza shop discovered the body when they opened the store around 6:15 a.m., and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Bruises were found on the victim’s nose, but it was unclear whether the injury occurred after the man was already dead, officials said.
Officials said the man’s roommate told authorities she witnessed him ingesting a powdered substance through his nose before passing out.
He then realized his roommate might be suffering from a drug overdose and said he and another person took the victim outside to get some fresh air, officials said.

Officials said the roommate immediately fled the apartment for fear of getting into trouble.
Police said the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Officials say at least two people are being searched.
