CBS’s Dan Rather Finished his nightly TV broadcast The word “courage” became popular in the mid-2000s.
Just an online news site Posted a negative review of Taylor Swift Without a byline for fear of upsetting the Swifties.
We’ve come a long way, baby.
Journalists today can’t just cover President Joe Biden’s mental decline, they can’t even stand up to pre-teens on social media.
Once again, despite the constant shadow, the CBS anchor is back in the news. Lazargate looks back on his career. It’s set to debut on Netflix “rather” on May 1st, and it’s apparently a meddlesome documentary about his days in journalism.
It’s like tackling O.J. Simpson’s life and downplaying the whole “murder trial” thing.
This isn’t the first time Hollywood has pretended there wasn’t an attempt to rig the 2004 presidential election. Remember “The Truth?” The 2015 film cast Robert Redford in the rather role, suggesting he completely nullified the Texas National Guard story.
Working title: “A fake but accurate movie!”
Again, maybe you don’t remember. “The Truth” grossed just $2 million at the U.S. box office.
SNL rolls with the punches again.
“Saturday Night Live” has nothing to say about the anti-Israel protests raging on college campuses.
The closest the once-powerful show came to this topic was mocking the D.C. testimony of three Ivy League presidents; the sketch He targeted Republican Elise Stefanik even more harshly than the morally twisted trio.
SNL still might have predicted today’s campus chaos nine years ago.of old sketch Dakota Johnson plays a young woman who is dropped off at college for the first time by her teary-eyed father (Taran Killam).
They exchanged pleasantries, and as she got out of the car, an ISIS truck drove by and picked her up. ISIS soldiers fire their weapons and shout “Death to America!”
Sound familiar?
Too bad SNL needs a wayback machine to speak truth to power…
Maher speaks truth to power…for now.
Bill Maher has been bashing the woke crazies on HBO’s Showcase for the past few years. There’s nothing new there.
Last week, Maher took it a step further. Neil Armstrong-sized steps. he:
- Praises Gov. Ron DeSantis for criticizing Disney’s grooming practices;
- attacked fellow liberals for ignoring the latter point,
- Condemning Drag Queen Story Hour in no uncertain terms,
- Disney blamed its “not-so-secret gay politics.”
Did Rush Limbaugh come back to life inside Maher’s body? Is the comedian eyeing President Trump’s running mate?
No, he can’t bear to see the modern left turn into a cult-like party.
Conservatives aren’t exactly embracing their new best friend. Some say Maher’s rhetoric is a feint, a posturing aimed at attracting a small group of right-leaning fans. Others claim he will still vote for President Biden over President Donald Trump.
Either way, no one in mainstream pop culture is talking about what Maher is all about, and he’s reaching an audience that may sadly ignore Limbaugh’s successor.
Yes, Maher is important.
Hollywood suffers from box office revenue
Studio executives are as nervous about box office success as Morgan Wallen’s public relations team. This month’s numbers are down significantly, and upcoming titles like “The New Planet of the Apes Movie No One Asked for” aren’t helping.
And then this.
“Spider-Man 2” released in 2004 will be released in theaters this year, 2nd highest grossing movie on April 22nd, only lost to “Civil War.” becomes terrible. The Spider-Man sequels played in less than 500 of his theaters, but most new releases play in his 2,000 to 4,000 screens.
People prefer watching old movies that they have already seen rather than watching new movies like “Abigail,” “The Money Man,” and “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly War.”
Better buy your Tams in bulk, Tinseltown.
Mark Hamill masters Jedi mind tricks
“Star Wars” alumnus Mark Hamill declared in X: Joe Biden is the best American president.Until now.
I hope his intervention goes as planned.
The same goes for Michael Douglas. When asked about the fact that our country’s president (81) is almost his age (79), the Oscar-winning actor responded that Biden is “sharp as a tackle.”
Thoughts and prayers to the aging A-listers.
