Pro-terror CAIR Complains After USC Clears Anti-Israel Protesters

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) protested Wednesday night after the University of Southern California (USC) removed an encampment set up by anti-Israel demonstrators on a private campus in Los Angeles.

as daily trojan report, the Los Angeles Police Department was called in on Wednesday after dozens of protesters set up an unauthorized encampment. They arrested dozens of people using sponge batons and zip ties.

CAIR issued a statement condemning USC’s “alleged violent repression and excessive use of force.”

Amr Shabaik, CAIR-LA Legal Director, said:

It is deeply concerning that the University of Southern California’s response to students peacefully demonstrating solidarity with Palestine is a forced suppression of freedom of speech and assembly. This reflects a national trend in which universities seek to censor pro-Palestinian advocacy on campus. All students should feel safe when expressing their opinions and exercising their right to peacefully assemble. We call on USC to immediately stop further repression of protesters and take steps to respect and protect student speech.

Free speech is restricted on private land, and even on public land, “time, place, and manner” restrictions apply, which can include a ban on overnight camping.

Protesters at the University of Southern California also used anti-police rhetoric, with one of them (pictured below) using a familiar slogan from the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots: One wore a hat that said “ACAB” (all cops are assholes).

CAIR’s radicalism is on record. CAIR chief Nihad Awad declared he was “satisfied” with Hamas’s terrorist attack on Israel on October 7.

Keala has a special reputation for supporting the cause of Islamic extremists, supporting the family of a terrorist who killed more than a dozen people in San Bernardino in 2015, and blaming U.S. foreign policy for causing the attack. It has a history.

As Breitbart News pointed out:

From 2007 to 2008, CAIR named Unindicted co-conspirator in Holy Land Relief and Development Foundation terrorist financing trial. This incident led to the F.B.I. call off Cooperation with organizations. In 2009, a federal judge control The government said it had “submitted sufficient evidence” to establish a link between CAIR and the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas.United Arab Emirates a label is attached CAIR was designated as a terrorist organization in 2014 (decision by the Obama administration) opposed).

The USC encampment is one of many that have sprung up across the United States in recent days, with frequent eruptions of extremist rhetoric calling for the destruction of Israel. Jewish students and faculty are threatened by protests.
