13-year-old punk accused of stealing woman’s purse, punching her, throwing her to ground; but he’s soon kissing concrete, too

Police told KOMO that officers were called to a pharmacy in the 2600 block of SW Barton Street for a report of a robbery with a deadly weapon.

Police said the woman told police that she and an employee confronted a group of teens inside the store for not paying for an item, and one of the teens approached her, took her wallet, and ran toward the exit. He added that the woman told police that she ran.

Officials told KOMO that the woman chased the boy and caught up with him at the store entrance.

But police say the boy grabbed her by the shirt and threw her to the ground.

When she got up to chase him, the boy punched her in the face, KOMO added.

Surveillance video showed the boy standing up to the woman like a boxer, seemingly challenging her to a fight. Then, the video showed him writhing with her left hook.

the police said According to KOMO, the teenage suspect and the group ran eastbound on Southwest Barton Street.

The victim called police, and officers found the suspect and two other teens near Southwest 18th Avenue and Southwest Barton Street, police said.

But it didn’t seem like a simple collar. The video shows the boy lunging forward before officers surround him and guide him onto the road surface.

KOMO reported that a 13-year-old male was arrested and sent to the Judge Patricia H. Clark Child and Family Justice Center for investigation of the robbery. Police added that the remaining two people have been identified and released.
