Only 13% Say Donald Trump Treated Same as Other ‘Criminal Defendants’

A CNN poll on Friday found that only 13% of people believe former President Donald Trump is being treated like any other “criminal defendant.”

  • Only 44% of people were confident that the jury selected for the case would be able to reach a fair verdict.
  • 56% were skeptical that a fair outcome would be achieved

The CNN poll sampled 1,212 adults from April 18 to April 23, and has a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.

Matthew Colangelo, a former Biden Justice Department (DOJ) official, delivered opening statements for the prosecution in Trump’s criminal trial on Monday.
