The first three rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft are right around the corner, and the Giants and Jets still have a lot of work to do. The Post’s Brian Costello and Paul Schwartz have the following thoughts on filling the void left by Games 4 through 7:
What the Jets could do on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft
Joe Douglas still enters the final day of the draft with three fourth-round picks to fill holes.
The Jets’ biggest need entering Day 3 is defense after taking offensive players with their first two picks.
The Jets need help at safety and inside the defensive line.
Another position to watch on Day 3 is quarterback.
The Jets need a third developing quarterback behind Aaron Rodgers and Tyrod Taylor. Tulane’s Michael Pratt and Florida State’s Jordan Travis could be those players.
The Jets’ final pick is the last pick in the draft, also known as Mr. Irrelevant.

What the Giants could do on Day 3 of the 2024 NFL Draft
The Giants selected a wide receiver, safety and cornerback in the first three rounds of the draft, and could certainly look to add a running back on Saturday.
GM Joe Schoen said, “I wouldn’t rule out that possibility.”
The Giants only have three third-day picks: one in the fourth round (107th overall), five (166th), six (183rd), and none in the seventh round. .

In addition to running backs, Bucky Irving (Oregon), Jalen Wright (Tennessee) and Isaac Guerendo (Louisville) are still available. The Giants could look for a defensive tackle, and there’s always a chance they’ll try to find a quarterback. Add to a room that includes Daniel Jones, Drew Lock, and Tommy DeVito.
Spencer Rattler (South Carolina) and Michael Pratt (Tulane) remained on the board despite going undrafted in the first three rounds.
