Shocking video shows the moment a police officer opens fire on two men who begin a gunfight at a crowded festival in San Antonio.
The footage shows people enjoying the final day of Fiesta San Antonio in the market square as screams and gunshots can be heard.
Police said two men were killed and four civilians were injured in the gunfight.
The crowd heard screams of terror and sounds of running as gunfire rang out, before one gunman knocked down the other and stopped seconds later, before police apparently shot and killed the remaining armed assailant.
“Oh my god!” a woman can be heard screaming in the aftermath.
San Antonio police said the shooting occurred near the stage at Conch Alley, where an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old boy fired shots at each other. The San Antonio Express-News reported.
As police chased the boy, his gunfire struck the 20-year-old, causing him to fall and police firing at him.
San Antonio police added that the boy died at the scene and the other gunman died at a local hospital.
Officials said four people were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries in the gunfire, including a 36-year-old woman and a 29-year-old woman, and two other young women were released at the scene.
It remains unclear whether those injured in the gunfire were fired by the suspect or by police.
Officers recovered two handguns used by the gunman during the shooting and are investigating the incident.
SAPD has not commented on a motive for the shooting.
The ministry did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for further information.
