NASCAR Driver Ryan Sieg Leaps Out of Burning Car in Scary Scene

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Ryan Sieg had to be evacuated from his burning vehicle in an extremely frightening moment at Dover International Speedway on Saturday.

The flames started under the bonnet near the front right tire, forcing Sieg to stop the car in Turn 2.

“I’m fine,” he told FOX Sports afterward. “There was a lot of smoke. I had no idea what was going on, and then all of a sudden there was a fire. … We had a pretty good car, and at least I got in there and everyone fixed it.” I was waiting for it. It just sucks.”

Zeke had trouble getting out of the car at first. Saturday’s hell was not the last for RSS (Ryan Shane Sieg) Racing.

On lap 52, the car driven by Zeke’s teammate Blaine Perkins also burst into flames.

The mechanics at RSS Racing seem to be the best at what they do;
