A flight from Texas to Japan had to be canceled after the pilot was questioned by police for allegedly acting disorderly while drinking at an all-night party at a hotel, according to reports.
Last Wednesday, Japan Airlines canceled a flight from Dallas to Tokyo to check on the 49-year-old captain’s mental and physical health. told the Mainichi Shimbun. 157 passengers had to transfer to other flights.
The pilot, who has not been identified, dined with other crew members around 6 p.m. in Dallas and then continued the party at the hotel, first in the lounge and then in his room, the report said.
Hotel employees asked the group to be quiet around 2 a.m., then called police concerned about the pilot’s behavior, saying he had acted in a disorderly manner, the Mainichi reported.
Police questioned the man and warned him not to cause any more trouble, the airline said.
However, the airline did not allow the flight the next day and the 1:05 a.m. flight had to be canceled because a replacement pilot could not be found, the report said.

Japan Airlines did not immediately respond to the Post’s request for comment on Tuesday.
