Republicans Seek to Prevent Joe Biden from Importing Palestinians to the U.S.

Rep. Andy Ogles (R-TN), Rep. Tom Tiffany (R-WI), Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA), and dozens of Senate Republicans are president Joe Biden. is working to prevent the resettlement of Palestinians into American communities.

In a letter to the House appropriators, Mr. Ogles, Mr. Tiffany and Mr. Perry proposed a provision that would prohibit the spending of funds to issue visas or grant parole to foreign nationals who hold Palestinian-issued passports. They called for it to be included in the fiscal year 2025 spending bill. authority. “

House Republicans wrote:

Whatever fanciful leftist notions to the contrary, the United States cannot be expected to absorb the rest of the world’s problems. It makes much more sense for countries in the region to take in people in need. If the administration is truly working with its allies in the region to forge a path to peace, it should expect them to be working in good faith to “do their part.” [Emphasis added]

Their letter comes as the Biden administration is reportedly considering using the federal government’s refugee resettlement program to bring Palestinians to the United States. Last November, Democrats in both houses of Congress circulated similar plans.

“Bringing hundreds of thousands of Palestinian aliens into our country is an unacceptable threat to our national security,” Ogles told Breitbart News. “The majority of Palestinian Arabs continue to support Hamas’ slaughter on October 7th and hate our American way of life.”

“It is not America’s responsibility, nor is it in America’s best interest, to allow Joe Biden to continue treating our country as a dumping ground for the rest of the world’s problems,” Tiffany told Breitbart News. He suggested that Palestinians be “resettled in other countries.” Not here, but in the area. ”

Meanwhile, Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) between Thirty-five Senate Republicans called on Biden to explain, including the specific number of Palestinian refugee resettlement programs his administration is considering implementing.

The senators wrote to Biden:

Your administration’s reported plan to admit refugees to Gaza poses a national security risk to the United States. Since more than one-third of Gazans support Hamas militants, your administration must properly vet this high-risk population for terrorist ties or sympathies before allowing them to enter the United States. We are not confident that we can do it. [Emphasis added]

Last year, Ogles and Tiffany introduced the Gaza Act, which would ban the Biden administration from issuing visas to Palestinians.
