America was founded on this principle. The government’s primary job is to protect its people’s God-given rights, especially freedom of speech. This means that if Comedy on State and the Madison Police Department were anything like America (or even decent), the government would be willing to give up themselves or anyone else, no matter how many police officers they needed. This means that Rappaport would have been allowed to appear in court without having to do so. It’s dangerous.
But that didn’t happen.
Instead, Comedy on State, which should be at the forefront of defending the rights of comedians, gave Madison’s Hitler Youth a big “W”.
