Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) said President Joe Biden wants to give U.S. taxpayers “hard-earned money” through the tax cuts included in the Affordable Care Act (Deferred Childhood Arrivals Act). It has been accused of giving to illegal aliens enrolled in the DACA program. Also called Obamacare.
On Friday, Biden Confirmed Rule opening Obamacare to DACA illegal aliens. In response, Vance said the move shows the government is focused on helping illegal aliens while leaving Americans behind.
“There’s an unprecedented crisis on our southern border, massive conflict around the world, and families across Ohio are being crushed by inflation,” Vance said in a statement.
Joe Biden’s response to all of this is to give your hard-earned money to illegal immigrants in the form of taxpayer-funded health care costs. This is a slap in the face to all hard-working Americans who follow the rules and would never happen if Donald Trump was president. [Emphasis added]
Mr. Vance has long been on the front lines of efforts to prevent the Biden administration from opening up Obamacare to DACA immigrants.
Last year, Breitbart News detailed a bill Vance introduced with Rep. Josh Brechen (R-Okla.) called the “No Obamacare for Illegal Aliens Act,” which would ban DACA illegal aliens from enrolling in Obamacare. Reported.
“American taxpayers should never be forced to pay for the health care costs of illegal immigrants,” Vance said last year. “This is common sense: People who break our laws should not benefit from public programs intended for legal citizens.”
Mr. Vance and other Republicans sent a letter to Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Xavier Becerra, urging him to rescind the plan altogether.
“The Biden administration’s decision also undermines President Obama’s promise that the Affordable Care Act would not provide health care coverage to illegal immigrants,” Vance said. Referring to his statement that he would never provide medical insurance to the United States, he said: Enroll in Obamacare.
